    Description

    18 1/4" x 8 1/4" framed photo of U.S.S. AB-1 (formerly U.S.S. Kearsarge BB-5) moored to a pier at Cristobal, C.Z.
    Dated at lower right 7/28/1926. She was on her way to Bremerton Navy yard.
    Kearsarge was converted from a battleship to a crane ship, 17 July 1920; the U. S. Navy's one and only self-propelled crane ship of this period.
