    Description

This is a folding knife from, maybe, Nepal.  I don't know exactly where it's from but it was purchased at a tribal arts auction and I'm sure it's Asian.  I wouldn't be surprised if it had some ritual function.  On the thick edge of the blade there are stamped-in characters of some Asian language...Nepal?, Mongolia?, Burma?, Thailand?  I'm only thinking of languages that resemble that on the blade.  The blade and pick fit into the wooden handle.  The pick does not open up so far, it's not in line with the handle.  The knife is 4 3/8" long, folded.  The blade  is  3 1/8" long and  the pick is 2 15/16" long.  The blade does not "lock" when it's open.
