AUTHENTIC KINGDOM OF YUGOSLAVIA
M1924  ARTILLERY NCO DAGGER
One of the rarest daggers in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia army arsenal. The dagger was designed and used only by the non commisioned officers of the artillery units from 1924 till 1941. The Yugoslav army had a small artillery force with only about 200 NCO's on active duty. Hence the small production and rarity of this dagger. According to sources, only about 600 pieces were ever produced.
The dagger was manufactured locally, by the Vojno Tehnicki Zavod (war technology institute) in the city of Kragujevac.
The grip is from wallnut wood. The guard is brass with serial number "7683" on one side and the letter "C" on the other. The steel blade has one fuller on one side and it is marked "BT3" in cyrilics, wich is a VTZ - vojno tehnicki zavod -  war technology institute.  The scabbard is black painted metal.
