Description

Spanish Civil War battlefield pickup: Italian M33 helmet shell. One helmet shell is offered in this listing. Three are shown to give you an idea of what may be in stock.
Manufactured and issued 1936-1939. Helmet was used in the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 by both Italian and Spanish troops under Franco.
This is a battlefield relic, rusty with no liners or extremely poor liners. The distinctive Italian air vent rivets will be present.
Front dome might be plain or have Spanish insignia holes or Spanish rectangular insignia holders.
Most will have stack marks, much rust and some with pitting (but still very much solid), and might have very tiny cracks.
On the helmets with insignia holes I've found that most have hairline cracks between or on the holes.
Generally speaking, I have tried to pick helmets that appear not to have cracks (non-cracked shells have a clear bell like sound when tapped).
Paint may vary from none to sparse areas of Italian and/or Spanish paint. Sizes vary also, from small to extra large.
