of long ago. These dies were purchased from a long defunct Jewelry store in central Ohio. The store had been closed since the 1940's. Each of these die blocks measures about 1-1/2" inches across. One cavity is full length, while the other cavity measures under 1/2" in length. Each of these depicts a gun or rifle themed detail. One looks to be a long gun, while the other shows crossed rifles. These dies are both made of hardened steel, and t

cracks or breaks on these gems, but for the end chips on the long gun die. These may have been purposeful to shorten the cavity or lower the cavity pressure on the ends(shown). Together these 2 die blocks weigh about 1 lb (500 grams). Some aging on the outside surfaces of the blocks(all shown). Notice that the larger block has additional die cavities on the backside, likely for a fraternity or such. Strong still, and both look to be usable. My 8 closeup photos are very true to life. Hopefully someone needs this to complete their collection. Too cool to pass up! Guaranteed 100% old and original. A must for the old Jewelry or Die maker.
