    OFFICER'S SET FOR A CAPTAIN IN THE 159TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 40TH DIVISION, CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD.  SET INCLUDES M1926 OFFICER'S COAT, OFFICER'S (1930'S) SHIRT AND TIE AND OFFICER SERVICE CAP.  WWI TYPE PIN BACK CAPTAIN BARS ON EACH SHOULDER, SCREW BACK 159TH INFANTRY DUI'S ON EACH SHOULDER, FELT/METAL 40TH DIVISION PATCH ON LEFT SHOULDER.  EARLY CLUTCH BACK U.S./CAL PINS ON EACH LAPEL, EARLY CLUTCH BACK 159/RIFLE PINS ON EACH LAPEL.  WWI VICTORY RIBBON OVER LEFT POCKET.  BRASS BELT HOLDERS ON WAIST FOR SAM-BROWNE BELT.  COAT APPROXIMATE SIZE 35R, NAMED TO LT SMITH.  COAT HAS SOME MOTH BITES.  OFFICER'S WOOL SHIRT FROM THE 1930'S WITH 40TH DIVISION PATCH ON LEFT SHOULDER, SHOWS WEAR ON SLEEVES AND HAS SOME MOTH BITES -  INCLUDED BLACK TIE.  EXCELLENT CONDITION SAM-BROWNE BELT.  EXCELLENT CONDITION OFFICER'S SERVICE VISOR CAP WITH NO DAMAGE - SHOWS LIGHT USE.  THE 159TH INFANTRY REGIMENT WAS REORGANIZED AND DESIGNATED THE 159TH INFANTRY REGIMENT IN 1921 AND ASSIGNED TO THE 40TH DIVISION. 1941 THE REGIMENT WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 7TH DIVISION.
